CLAAS Tractor SAS Velizy-Villacoublay · Velizy-Villacoublay

April 2025 to March 2026

Delivered a large-scale ECU platform migration from Fujitsu MB90F342 (F2MC-16LX) to NXP S32 MCU (ARM Cortex-M4F) in collaboration with GIMA, porting the legacy codebase and maintaining dual-compilation compatibility between Softune IDE and S32 Design Studio, with zero functional regression across deployed tractor variants. Implemented watchdog and safe-state architectures enforcing hardware-level fault containment, applying systematic fault injection and register-level isolation to ensure predictable failure behaviour on production ECUs. Configured and validated MCAL-level peripheral drivers (CAN/J1939, PWM, DIO, GPIO) within a custom hardware abstraction framework, ensuring correct signal behaviour across 2 ECU hardware families and integrating 30+ software modules with full application-layer and diagnostic compatibility. Diagnosed and resolved hardware-software integration faults at the driver level by tracing ECU outputs, isolating root causes in register initialization sequences and peripheral mode configuration through systematic fault injection and analysis. Validated UDS and KWP2000 (ISO 14230) diagnostic services using Vector CANoe and CANdela, performing simulation, communication analysis, and root-cause resolution of hardware-level anomalies across off-road vehicle ECUs. Executed HIL validation campaigns on live tractor ECU test benches with real actuators, verifying real-time CAN (ISO 11898) signal behaviour and resolving control/command integration defects before field deployment. Performed ECU flashing, calibration, and diagnostic consistency verification using CDT internal tooling and a LabVIEW-based test bench, working across hardware families.
